SEATTLE, WA — Seattle has always been a city of hidden musical gems, but few shine as brilliantly—or have been as unjustly overlooked—as IMIJ. Bringing together a soulful, atmospheric sound with deep Pacific Northwest roots, the boundary-pushing rock band is finally receiving the physical archive they deserve. Today, the band announced a crowdfunding campaign to press their definitive debut album on vinyl for the very first time, in an exclusive collaboration with Latent Print Records.
Dedicated to the curation and preservation of essential Pacific Northwest music history, Latent Print Records is working alongside IMIJ to rescue this crucial chapter of the Seattle music landscape from the digital cloud and cement it into a permanent, physical format.
To ensure the band’s genre-bending, heavy-duty analog grooves translate perfectly to wax, the release is being specially mastered by the architect of the Seattle sound himself, Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden, Mudhoney). Under Endino’s expert guidance, this pressing promises to deliver the warm, sonically rich audiophile experience these tracks were always intended to have.
The crowdfunding campaign is vital to the project, providing the "seed money" required for professional plating, audiophile-grade manufacturing via the highly reliable Pirates Press, and direct artist support.
The Vision & Campaign Details
The campaign aims to fund an ultra-limited run of approximately 300 copies, designed specifically with collectors in mind. The premium release features:
Audiophile Engineering: A dedicated vinyl master directly from Jack Endino’s studio.
Premium Colored Vinyl: A striking visual aesthetic chosen to complement the band's moody, atmospheric sound.
Restored & Expanded Artwork: Original imagery meticulously scaled and enhanced for the 12" gatefold format.
Exclusive Backer Rewards
Fans who support the crowdfunding campaign can secure a variety of limited-edition tiers, including:
The IMIJ debut LP on limited colored vinyl.
Exclusive, limited-run IMIJ t-shirts and screen-printed commemorative posters.
Tickets to an upcoming live release show and a private VIP band listening party.
Ultra-rare test pressings (the ultimate collector’s item).
The opportunity to be permanently immortalized in the liner notes as an Executive Producer.
Timeline to Delivery
Following a successful funding campaign, mastering and plating will begin in early July, with test pressings and artwork finalized by August. Backers can expect rewards to begin shipping in late October/early November, perfectly aligning with a celebratory autumn release show.
